I came across someone who was uncertain of the value of a book, and whether they should be paying the price for it. With books, it’s a purely artistic endeavor, open to interpretation.
If I showed you the image above and you didn’t know the artist, would you say it’s worth $1 million? Unlikely. Perhaps there is a story behind the art, a story that demonstrates tremendous value.
Consumers do not buy art for art; they buy art for the story. What story identifies with you as a consumer? As an artist?
