I am very excited to be launching a fresh take on the picture book with this story called Mr. Standard Picture Book.

It is part picture book, part launch of a new design. The design is completely vertical to fully fit mobile phones.

The common rules of the standard picture book suggest we need to follow these publishing guidelines:

The book should measure 8 x 10 inches.
The book should be 32 pages long.
The book should be made for ages 3-8.
The book should be 500 words.

What if we reimagine the picture book?

I am excited to be working on a large collection of vertical picture books that I am creating from scratch. Mr. Standard Picture Book is my first release, and I hope to inspire people who love mobile reading.

Go is a picture book about frustration with love. It’s about saying the time has come to move on in life.

This is the third book in a four-part series covering the love between a rabbit and turtle. I used black and white for each story, because I appreciate that vintage, minimalist feel when describing love.

The turtle feels frustrated at this point because it’s time to ask the rabbit to go, which is not what the rabbit expected. The rabbit expected the turtle to fight for love until the bitter end.

It’s interesting to explore the emotions between two characters, and to see what behaviors come from all of it.
