The Redwoods

The Redwoods

I went to California for a road trip this year. One of the most amazing sights was the redwood forest.

I like to be around nature. It was quite the sight to be around trees that were hundreds of years old.

If anyone is headed to California, I highly recommend they venture through these forests. It is quite a humbling experience.

When we are pre-occupied by the hustle, bustle and consumerism of our daily lives, it’s refreshing to escape and enjoy our roots (pun intended).

Queen of the Fruit Flies

Queen of the Fruit Flies

Read here.

One day, I had an encounter with dozens of fruit flies. I needed to vanquish these little monsters and spent a good part of my day figuring out how.

That incident led to the creation of this book.

Of course, to make things fun, I changed the story around. The ending is a twist that I hope you will enjoy.

If anyone would like to know how to rid fruit flies from their homes, the true solution is to contain or remove your open, ripe organic fruit. Then mix a solution of apple cider vinegar with dish soap and let that sit out in the open for awhile. Then the fruit flies will eventually meet their demise hehe.

Peanut Butter Cafe

Peanut Butter Cafe

Read here.

This story is business-related, so hear me out. Ever since kindergarten, there has been only one thing my mom and I would pack in my school lunches: the peanut butter sandwich. No jelly, no famous Elvis Presley bananas, no chocolate, no Nutella. Just peanut butter and two pieces of bread. I call it consistency.

When I started out in university, peanut butter sandwiches continued to rule my lunchbox. I got a part-time job in a retail store, and guess what I had during my breaks? The peanut butter sandwich. Everyone around me, from work to social to school life, knew I was obsessed with that one sandwich.

When you stick to something, no pun intended, you will get people interested in what you’re doing. It took me 20 years to get someone to ask about my peanut butter sandwich on a daily basis, and it can take awhile for you to get noticed too. Continue doing what you love – and eating what you want – and you will be noticed for your efforts someday.
