I wake up and I go swimming. Some people sleep in, rush to work and die at their desks.
Not me. I would rather start the day off in a good way.
Sometimes you don’t want to wake up. You don’t want to move. The greatest struggle is that morning push during feelings of grogginess, sluggishness, tiredness and unhappiness.
Those who decide to move, whether to the swimming pool or to something else that helps their lives, those are the people who win the day.
A flower to grow with. A flower to go on adventures with. A flower to support goals. A flower to support ambitions. A flower to enhance life, not dramatize life. A flower to spend quality time with. A flower to have intimate time with, with meaning. A flower to align where interests align. A flower to lie next to, from dusk until dawn. A flower to lie next to, in a hospital bed. A flower to willingly hold cold and clammy hands with. A flower to stand up for all that is and what is. A flower to open doors for. A flower to care for. A flower to embrace. A flower to marry. A flower to have kids with. A flower to love kids with. A flower to build a family with. A flower to build a legacy with. A flower to grow old with. A flower to love knowing. A flower to have now and after. A flower to have. A flower of my life.
I wake up and write in my journal. This consists of improvements I can make from the previous day, what I’m grateful for, affirmations and what would make a great day today. Then I head to the swimming pool to do a mixture of the front crawl and breaststroke for 40–50 laps.
After the sauna and shower, I head back home.
8am.
I make a green smoothie that consists of spinach, kale, pea protein powder, coconut oil, frozen fruit, avocados, water and unsweetened coconut milk.
9am.
I spend some time on Quora, answering questions that I have answers to.
10am.
PR push. I reach out to at least ten people I could potentially collaborate with. This might be literary agents, marketing agencies or authors.
12pm.
I take a break to eat a steak and greens. I like to pan-fry and lightly salt my steak. I do not use dressings or marinades.
2pm.
I do one set of strength exercises and one set of abdominal exercises. Then I get outside and run 2–10 kilometers. The distance depends on how my legs feel.
5pm.
I drink more of my smoothie, paired with candy, donuts, cookies or ice cream. I have a bit of a sweet tooth. I might also eat a handful of walnuts, sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds with raisins.
6pm.
I reflect on my life or read articles that interest me.
7pm.
I read a book or watch a movie.
9pm.
Time for bed. After brushing and flossing, I tuck myself in.
